Do not open any attachments or click any links found in the suspicious
e-mail.

United Commercial Bank will never request personal information from customers via email or pop-up window. If you have entered personal information in response to a suspicious email or in a suspicious website claiming to be affiliated with United Commercial Bank, please call our Customer Service Representatives at 1-800-821-3899, Monday to Friday from 6 am to 6 pm Pacific Time, or write to us at United Commercial Bank, P. O. Box 882373, San Francisco, CA 94188-2373, Attention: Chief Privacy Officer.

What is e-mail fraud?

Many fraudulent emails appear to be sent from legitimate companies that you do business with, such as your bank. These e-mails often ask you to validate or confirm your personal information by sending a reply, opening an attachment, or clicking on a link to a counterfeit website. These messages can contain viruses, known as "Trojan horse" programs, designed to record your keystrokes. These emails can also direct you to a counterfeit website that appears to be genuine.

How to prevent e-mail and internet-related fraudulent schemes:

You can help protect your UCB accounts and personal information from fraudulent activities by following these simple steps:

  • Delete any email without opening it, if you don't recognize the sender.
  • Be suspicious of any email that asks for personal information, requests your authentication, or indicates a problem with your UCB accounts. If you receive an email like this, do not reply by email. Instead, contact the Chief Privacy Officer to verify the authenticity of the email. Remember, United Commercial Bank does not request personal information from customers via email.
